'Black Hearts' is the first single from the new JD & the FDCs album set for release this Summer.

It's their first video since the 'From The Shadows' promo went viral in 2013 (thanks largely to the involvement of Amy 'Lita' Dumas and Dez Cadena.). It's also the first new music released by the band in over two years despite the FDCs never really taking a break from action.

Main man JD explains: "We're aware that it's been three years now since we released our debut album (the Uber Rock album of the year 2012, 'Recognise') which is most definitely too long a gap between records. But the truth is that in that time, we've been gigging and touring harder than most bands at our level, which in hindsight really hindered our songwriting and rehearsals. That coupled with everything that has gone on behind the scenes during that period. Oh man. Deaths, births, marriages, break ups, members leaving, huge life changes.... It's actually a miracle that we're still even a band, never mind the fact that we've somehow recorded another album. And yeah, the new songs reflect that. It's all about rising above. About survival. Wow. That kind of makes it sound like we've gone darker and more serious now, doesn't it?! Well, maybe we have. We're not the same people that made our first album, that's for sure."

You can download 'Black Hearts' from today on iTunes, Bandcamp and all of the usual digital platforms.
