'Dee Does Broadway', the new solo album from Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider due in May, will be preceded by a new single and accompanying video at the start of April.

The new album will include guest appearances from the likes of Sebastian Bach and Saxon's Biff Byford.

"It's not metal." Snider said late last year when talking about this new solo records. "I'm taking Broadway show tunes and I'm making them rock. It's sort of a 'Twisted Christmas' taken to Broadway."

"There are some pretty metallic moments there, I'll tell you. 'Sweeney Todd' translates into a metal song amazingly - bass, drums, guitar - so some of the songs are really metallic, but it's a rock record. I'm doing it as a solo artist."

Snider joined the cast of the Tony-nominated musical 'Rock Of Ages' in October 2010 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre for an 11-week engagement where he played the part of nightclub owner Dennis.
