Although he’s never heard of Slayer, he’s got more than a little heavy metal history, having played with, among others Ritchie Blackmore and Phil Lynott. Preparing for a return booking at Knebworth Park where his band opened for Led Zeppelin in 1979, he tells Uber Rock’s Eamon O’Neill “We fit in anywhere”.
