When Janne Jarvis from Hate Gallery got in touch with Uber Rock and asked if we'd like an exclusive listen to their upcoming 'Dead Celebrities' EP we simply had to take up that offer. But not before we grilled him for that much promised Gig From Hell.
True to form he not only gave us his usual honest opinion but also rattled off a series of gigs that would have most reviewers toes curling. Not us though, so we bring you Janne Jarvis and Hate Gallery totally uncut and ready to kick your fucking ass.
I've been lucky. I've played some great shows and not had too much trouble.
Played Philadelphia last year with Warrior Soul and the venue was literally besieged by gang-bangers. Then again that was a walk in the park compared to the amount of fucking fruitcakes we encountered in the States. We played to some psycho red-necks in North Carolina one of whom managed to stay all night in our hotel room, smoking crack, talking about his gun collection in his trunk and urinating at every available opportunity on the floor. We only let him stay because we were afraid he was going to bum us at gunpoint... We played a very memorable gig in Chemnitz in the East of Germany on our way home from The Stone Gods tour. Our 'accommodation' was someone's garage, the P.A was a home stereo, and the audience was full of racist thugs and women with beards and instead of paying us they passed around a fucking shit-stained hat to throw money into. They did however; give generously Bless their Teutonic souls.
Talking of giving generously, our E.P is out on the 23rd November and we'll be giving away the first single 'Dead Celebrities' in a few weeks. So you can all own it. If you believe that the only good celebrity is a dead one, then you'll love it.
See you on the road !!!!!
So what about this EP I hear you scream, well the six tracks we have heard we can tell you 'Dead Celebrities' is a stonking riff fest set to raise the pogo ratio at any future Hate Gallery gigs at least tenfold, and you can hear this track right now here.
Hate Gallery certainly want to be the band you Love To Hate, just fucking wait until you hear the track by the same name.
The rest, well, we are sworn to secrecy till November 23rd, but rest assured this will easily breeze its way into my albums of the year.
