UK upstarts Trashtown Thrillers have invented their own kickass musical sub-genre with their lowslung brand of Trash 'n' Roll. What follows are the wise words of frontman Craggy after Über Röck asked him if hell really was gig shaped........

"Yeah, one gig springs to mind right away. We'd been put on a headline show in Brighton but no one was doing any promotion, so we made all the posters etc... Then on the night this fucking shit twee band turned up with some prick of a manager and demanded they play for however long, I can't remember what it was. He was such a cunt, looking like an 80s car phone salesman with his jumper tied round his neck.

Anyway, the drummer of the first band put a hole in our bass drum and didn't tell anyone. Then the newly added band played for fucking ages so our set time was reduced to about twenty minutes! It was really coming close to blows but we wanted to get up and play quick - then the toilets overflowed into the venue!

There was a drum 'n' bass night on afterwards and they pulled the plug! We played for about ten fucking minutes. I wish I could remember the name of that band!"
