East_Strike_West_Tour_DatesHaving no idea of what was awaiting me this cold March night, I stepped into the infamous Barfly for what seemed like the first time in years. Now this venue has seen some great bands make that next step on the ladder to fame, and what I witnessed later on in the evening bore testament to the fact that I'd just seen something very special indeed!

Being asked to review a band I know absolutely nothing about is always a very demanding yet rewarding task. I might end up hating them or loving them, who knows what might await me? Well I'm glad to tell you it was most definitely the latter in the case of EastStrikeWest. Not getting acquainted with the band beforehand worked in my favour tonight, as I had no preformed expectations at all.

The wall of sound that the band hit the stage with was quite tremendous. This band has equally epic and such a bold sound in today's market that I can't help but feel like I've witnessed the rebirth of Christ. This band are THAT special.

With songs like 'The Architect' which is six minutes of pure bliss... I honestly cannot pigeon hole them.

The haunting vocals of Tom Clark mixed with the keyboards are goosebump inducing, and I simply did not want the music to end as that would mean the end of a great evening. I missed the song titles and just got lost in the music, which belies the band's young years.

Guys - just sign me up for whatever shows you do in the area... I'm so there!
