They're a name new to me, but the sound they make is a warm familiar rock 'n' roll sound, a sound that's steeped in classic influences like Maiden and Sabbath. Vocalist Arnar sounds very much like Chris Cornell at times, which should be taken as a massive compliment. In fact the album is choc full of the brontosaurus-sized riffs and razor wire covered fuzzy guitar grooves that made Soundgarden so great back in the day.
Some standout tracks for me are the furious 'More Alive', and epic closer 'Waiting For The Sun'. Overall a very solid and enjoyable modern day heavy rock album that tips its hat very neatly to the past without succumbing to the bubonic plagerism of the likes of Bonafide, or indeed the pointless (and un-funny) irony that other numerous other bands are waist deep in at the moment.
Purchasing this album would do your CD collection absolutely no harm whatsoever; I look forward to hearing and seeing a lot more from this band in the future.
