Take-The-Seven-Cover-ArtworkMellow, yet powerful and easy to listen to. I, being a You Me At Six and Kids In Glass Houses fan, felt that after just 30 seconds of the first song that this is just what I love to listen to. This 5-piece rock/alternative band has character, a style that has a unique catchy blend, sounding possibly somewhat chilled out but nevertheless alternative.

Based around Chesterfield, North Derbyshire and only being officially spawned a year ago, Take The Seven have been working hard and have produced an impressive collection of songs, forming  the album 'Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious'. Listening to the album I wish great success for this ridiculously awesome band, as I crave to hear more! A personal favourite of mine being track two, 'Through the Crossfire'. The intro grabs your attention and kicks in with strong and captivating vocals, with a catchy chorus that replays not only on my iPod, but in my head. The wicked guitar sounds, perfectly give each song a soul, bringing depth to their music.

This will not be a band that I will just listen to and write something that makes them sound good because at the time they sounded pretty cool, and then never go near them again; this is a band that feels like they will be with me for some time. Take The Seven are a band that I will follow, and maybe even become one of my favourite bands: if they play their cards right that is. After hearing such an incredible debut album, I look forward to hear what they have to come next!
