Apparently they've taken their name from Scott Weiland saying "There is a party tonight"........I'm sure Scott then heard their music and (especially) the lyrical genius and decided he just couldn't compete and promptly got depressed and fucked up and left/got sacked from Velvet Revolver. "No craps, no craps, make love, make no craps" is in particular a Wordsworth-esque lyric on 'A Good Tellin' Off'.
Party Tonight want to be Kiss, Andrew WK and Weezer rolled into one. What they actually appear to be is a geek-fest fucked up on Top Deck!! Ok, 'Sexy Lady From Underworld' isn't too bad and the female singer Michelle is a dead ringer sound wise for Priya from the band Diemonds, which is always a great thing, but it's a bit of a mess.
I've no idea what they're trying to do or be?
