homerunHomerun; are they gonna knock me out of my musical ballpark or is this gonna be a no hitter?

Formed in 2000 as a covers band under the name Dead Poets the band soon enough felt the urge to write and perform their own original material culminating in the 2011 release of 'Black World'.

The Italian six-piece bring in 'Silence's Broken' after an intro sampled piece, mixing edgy heavy guitars, keyboards with a nice melodic vocal delivery. The keyboards and heavier six string riffage don't really seem to be going musically hand in hand on 'No More' although the vocal passages do go someway towards saving the day. A well crafted, piano led 'As We Did Before' is a well above average ballad but still lacks the powerful essential sellability musical hook. 'Ephemeral Light', 'Our Love Song' and the title track, 'Black World', are all transcending down the same ol' same ol' tunnel visioned path.

'Princess Of Time', 'The Golden Cage' and 'Lipstick' are now getting quite monotonous and unable to hold my attention for too long. 'Intoxication Of Love', 'Firefly', 'Another Reason To' and an acoustic version of 'No More' bring the album boringly to a close.

Definitely hasn't knocked me out of the park.
