Jim_Jones_RevueNovember has certainly been a fantastic month for new music releases here at Über Röck, and the month just got a whole lot better with this eight track EP from ex Thee Hypnotics/Black Moses frontman Jim Jones's all new Rock n Roll revue.

This EP/mini album on the band's own Punk Rock Blues label brings together their vinyl and CD singles to date in one nicely rounded package. Taking cuts from the band's 2008 self titled debut album ('Rock N Roll Psychosis' and 'Princess And The Frog') and adding in some choice covers made popular by the likes of Elvis Presley ('Big Hunt O' Love') and Little Richard ('Good Golly Miss Molly').

The whole vibe of this EP is one that evokes an age long since passed in the U.K music industry when bands worked their balls off to get a reputation and then if lucky enough got to cut a single or two under the guidance of some A&R guru before either making it further into chart success or falling apart along with all the other no hopers playing tea dance clubs the country over. And it is this innocence and instant appeal of The Jim Jones Revue's music that now makes them stand out like the odd kid out at the school disco, you know the one who ultimately turns out to be the coolest kid in the school, you just don't know it yet.

So, if boogie woogie piano, treble heavy guitars, vocals pushing the mixing desk needle levels way into the red are your type of thing then The Jim Jones Revue are an essential purchase for you.

Now all we ask Über Röckers is that you keep this "REAL" music alive and kicking in the UK and buy the band's music NOW (click on the Myspace link below for more details) and make sure you get tickets for their electric live shows when they tour the UK in April 2010.

You have been warned fuckers, don't make us come after you now!!!!!!
