fearlesscdRight now is either the very best or very worst time to be a band named after one of Roman Polanski's finest moments. While the famed movie director sits in a 6x6 sewing diamond encrusted mail sacks, the artistic community has much to say. They want file sharers and movie downloaders thrown in the slammer, yet they also want Roman Polanski's anal rape of a thirteen year old girl forgotten because, well, it happened a long time ago and he directed 'Chinatown' which was just glorious. And we wonder why the world is fucked up beyond belief......

The above is just an example of why we need infectiously catchy music to lift us out of the mire, even if it is just for three or four minutes. One listen to 'I Am Gonna Leave You' by London based Fearless Vampire Killers and I guarantee that you will be humming it or singing it later in the day. "What is that song that has been on the tip of my tongue all day?" you will say to yourself. "Oh yes, it is that song by that band named after a film by that anal rapist."

'I Am Gonna Leave You' is simple, straightforward, yet undeniably catchy. A retro-tinged pop rocker that is as infectious as a zombie bite. There's a trashy verve to the song that will ensure it is adored by the cool kids and more than a hint of indie credibility that hangs over the tune like a failed student.

Available to download from November 30th, 'I Am Gonna Leave You' is a very friggin' decent icebreaker for a cool young band that you should all keep an eye out for in 2010.
