When you think of brutal, in your face hardcore you wouldn't generally throw up Peterborough as being the place to get down to some political, screaming, double bass pounding HC but first impressions can be deceiving. Whilst the sound is generic and fairly typical of this scene you need the one track that reels the punters in and let's them get a foot through the door and then appreciate the album bit by bit. Downset had 'Anger' which was great and grabbed the attention. I guess the closest I got to being reeled in was on track five, 'Skin', which has some great lyrics and the middle of the song reminded me of my good buddies Senser when they get all heavy. A great song in anyone's language and a great message. Once I was in I'm in the zone and 'Jeepers Creepers' (which isn't about my wonderful choice of footwear), another grower to be fair, whilst offering nothing new on the arrangement or the brutal chug, has a great bass distorted riff on the breakdown - nice!
