Opening track 'Idaho' sounds like some classic rock sung by a young Frankie Miller - sounds alright by me with some neat harmonica as well. The lead track is radio friendly and these chaps sound a lot more mature than they should. The Action Five are alright in my book and I'd agree, Idaho is a long way, especially when you're living in Norway.
Sadly this is only a three track promo but I'd be more than happy to give these boys more of my time with a full length disc. 'Stuck In My Seat' is a lot more uptempo with a little dash of Hellacopters thrown in for good measure, whilst the third and final track, 'Get Your Kicks', is possibly my pick of the bunch with some sweet axework as the verses kick back with another radio friendly chorus that raises the song.
For a first glimpse of a band these three tracks get the thumbs up from me. Well played, well produced, well arranged - well done The Action Five!
