cdwe_die_tonightHow can I say this......

I'm am getting sick of promo packs where the first word I see is progressive!!!! Be it progressive hardcore (as in the blurb for this band), progressive metal, progressive rock, progressive thrash; when did progressive become Di-Rigeur? Why does every record company need to put the word in front of every fucking release? Let's say it like it is - you want progressive listen to fucking Yes. Nuff Said.

Suitably annoyed, probably the right frame of mind for some hardcore, where's my Fugazi back catalogue? Sorry, onto the band - what have we got? This is We Die Tonight's second release, a follow up to their debut mini-album 'Fall From Grace' and, do you know, it's not progressive but a decent hardcore EP! None of the tracks are nine minutes long, the vocals are spot on and it left me wanting more, roll on the first full length LP.

Without knowing a lot about the band I would say they have the potential to deliver a storming set live, and here's hoping they come somewhere near. Stand out tracks for me, 'Dancing With Daggers' and 'Ecstacy'. Play it loud and enjoy.
