This here debut album sounds like a band that would go down very nicely with fans of Big Cheese as they speed from one track to the next with a tightness in the playing that could give them a fighter's chance of carving out a piece of Warped tour type success and an appeal to a younger punk/skateboard crowd isn't far fetched and a real possibility. It might not be my preferred style of punk rock but it does have its moments through the eleven tracks offered up. They grasp a fundamental rule of keeping the songs short and sweet and don't label the point of overplaying a song and dragging it out for the sake of it. 'No Friend Of Mine' is a good example of this.
The overall feeling I get for listening is it's a little one dimensional and the band seem to sum this up on the final offering 'It's Not Plagiarism It's Just Similar' and that about is where it's at. They obviously dig the NOFXs of the world and can turn in a tune or two of their own. Everything We Left Behind have enough going on to draw you in and with the right breaks should see their stock rise and show that it's not just bands across the Atlantic who can do this kind of music and the UK have bands that can go toe to toe and hold their own in a very competitive market.
