fallinginto'I Would Like To Tell You A Story', the debut album from the Bristol-based five-piece pop rock outfit Falling Into Difference, starts with a spoken word/piano piece which reminds me of 'Why Don't You' in that it inspired you into believing that anything is possible.

It leads nicely into 'It's You', with its Third Eye Blind melody, and is a welcome distraction from the poor production on show. Now that's not to say it's bad, but there appears to be no urgency in their approach, which is a given in the genre of pop punk.

'Half Lonely' is a fantastic slice of pop punk heaven let down by the drum sound, which sounds like a damp squib of a fart when it should level any building in its way. This, unfortunately, is the case for most of this album. The songs are great but the production, not so.

Having listened to this album many times, the hooks slap you in the face and grab your attention just like they should. Live, I can imagine this band are amazing...

Noteworthy songs for me are 'Hook, Line & Sinker', 'Blood & Tears', the emo-tastic 'Cupid Never Planned It To Be This Hard' and 'The End Of What Has Already Started'.

Now this band are one to definitely watch out for!
