This band have self-produced the rock album that Radiohead could have made (before they disappeared up their collective arses) - it comes up trumps on all fronts, containing hints of System Of A Down on the heavier tracks such as 'Time To Change' and 'The Tribe', the aforementioned Radiohead on 'Colourful Déjà Vu', 'Socially Active Warrior' and a hint of something PJ Harvey could have written in 'Calling', 'Can't Help Me' and 'Feel Like Human'.
But let's not do this band a disservice; what you have is something that is original, held together by an emotive vocal performance that echoes Thom Yorke at his best, Brian Molko and even PJ Harvey at her rawest. There are some stunning guitar riffs and hooks throughout and the piano intro to 'Calling' stands alongside Jools Holland's performance on The The's 'Uncertain Smile', it fits perfectly.
The band are made up of brothers Siddharth Barooa (vocals and bass) and Amitabh Barooa(guitars/backing vocals) and Partha Boro (drums and backing vocals). This is definitely an album for lovers of alternative rock with something to say - turn up loud and enjoy, listen to the layers build and start with 'Calling' - what a track!!!! Been a regular on the turntable since receiving, just my cup of tea.
