With a sound and style that draws heavily on Killing Joke, there's heaviness galore and some looping riffs that really burrow into the base of your skull.
Where the pace drops the songs take on a quite harsh and stark atmosphere, particularly on the Justin Broadrick (Godflesh) produced second disc, the release actually being two versions of the same album, the main release produced by It Bites guitarist and Outhouse Studios producer, John Mitchell the other by Mr. Broadrick.
The Mitchell-produced disc actually has a more metallic edge to it, but the edginess of the Broadrick production really does add another dimension to the second version, particularly to songs like 'Falter' and 'Dredge'.
Good stuff for getting the 4am comedown sweats to.
