fourletterReleased to coincide with the General Election and blasted out in a couple of days in Cilfynydd Rock City, the ever reliable Four Letter Word give us three new tracks and a corking Billy Bragg cover to alleviate the boredom of the fucking swing-o-meter.

No big surprises then, just top tunes. 'Barbed Wire Psychosis' is prime-time Bad Religion; great drive, great melodic undertones, great song. 'Putsch (sic) Comes To Shove' reeks of the much-missed China Drum, with its infectious catchiness and infinitely chantable chorus. 'Third Party Fire And Theft' is more of the same, good honest FLW as you've come to know and love them. The real jewel in this particular crown though is their version of 'To Have And To Have Not'. Really beefing up the Billy Bragg standard, you could be forgiven for thinking of Snuff in their heyday. This really is fucking top notch.

So when the dust has settled on the bullshit parade that masquerades as a General Election, and you ask yourself "Does it matter what twat is in power because they're all watered down, flesh-pressing, two-faced wank-dogs", you can always fall back on something real and honest and let Four Letter Word put a smile back on your face.
