TNA_STWell shake me to the foundations if this isn't a fucking curious piece of music I have in my hands.......................

Curious as to what the fuck was happening back in the day of sweat soaked stockings, ass-less leather trousers, strippers and pure 80's RnR?? You see this bunch of Memphis sleaze balls hail from the glorious year of '88 and this album was never released. Why the fuck have we never heard of them???? Eonian Records are here with our wishes granted.

The story goes that following some recording sessions, TNA played a showcase but simply turned down all offers - In hindsight, years later maybe a costly mistake BUT this was a time of change so perhaps they wouldn't have made it anyway? Vain probably fell into this trap when the suits started to decide we all needed a change? Years later, Vain are still clambering a ladder with no rungs. Whether that's fair is not the point, it happens. We Rock On.

Although occasionally sounding like it was recorded in a van driving down the motorway, this is a band of such high quality that I'm amazed TNA never made it through to our stereos, especially considering some of the dross that got through the bullshit detector that is the great British rock fans. The band are so tight that bassist Michael Gumm was quoted as saying "You couldn't drive a toothpick up our ass with a twenty pound sledgehammer" - He's not lying.

Opener 'All Nite Long' is a groove led piece of sleaze that will remind you of Tora Tora at their best - and they were fucking good (singer Jeffrey Harr could be Anthony Corder's voice doppelganger at times), 'Bump & Grind' and 'Dirty Love' are soaked in pure 80s testosterone and sex imagery that will have all you Ubervixens breaking out the stripper heels within five minutes of hearing it.

'Don't Fade Away' is a ballad that could/should have been rotating on Headbanger's Ball along with 'Every Rose....', 'You're All I Need' and 'I Remember You'. 'Don't Look Back' is a great track that takes the foot off the sleaze button and takes us down the Southern sway of Tesla, this time singer Jeffrey Harr morphing into Jeff Keith with aplomb and bringing Eric Lewis on guitar to the fore. Fuck me, this is good and we're not even half way through, UberSleazoids.

'Hard Way' is a band singing collaboration that makes you think they just smiled all the way through recording this track - pure heads down, no frills enjoyment. 'I'm Already Gone' is simply the best slow track Aerosmith haven't recorded since 'Pump'. 'Just Another Day' takes us into atmospheric Coverdale territory (but where's the Tawny Kitaen video???) whilst 'It Don't Come Easy' (The Irony!) hits a little funky blues step on the way to 'Take A Walk', a full-on speed-glam-tastic fever of a track, guitars spunking background riffs at such a pace that I've had to stop writing to get up and bust out my best rock moves like a demented Axl Rose drunk on port and red wine!

Fuck, it's finished. Twelve tracks and I want more.

No new music is in the pipeline so just be content that 20 odd years later, a GEM of an album has been polished off for us.

This album will not disappoint ANYONE who loves the 80s glam scene. Treat yourself, they deserve to be heard. Make a space in your CD racks - You need this.
