The band rides a wave of straight up rock, bridging the sounds of grunge and metal for a classic formula. Capturing this traditional marriage of genres with good effect, Dead Cells exhibit fat riffs that groove along seamlessly with pounding drums. The song is made up of two distinctive parts with a melodious middle section that reproduces a sound worthy of their influences such as Audioslave. A decent production job means that the vocals blend in well with the music, making this release a catchy and powerful one.
Dead Cells have drawn a good balance from their influences, and this has been redistributed through various radio stations worldwide, and a number of positive reviews from webzines. The year 2011 will no doubt hold plenty more for the band as they embark on securing more shows and recording their debut EP.
