supagroupSlick as. Big sounding American rawk from the husband of Sean Yseult with lots of pop sensible choruses spread out over a whole heap of tracks, Supagroup just about cover all bases from pure pop driven hit-begging song, to the Zep-esque acoustic instrumental via big, crunching DC riffs and the sped up punk edged song.

And this, for me at least, is where the problem lies; it just about falls between several stools not really knowing where these dudes fly. Maybe the big lush production of guitar driven rock is where these guys work best; there is a distinct Summery feel about a lot of it and when they get in the groove it's not half bad, but on the flip side some of it got a little boring as some of the songs were quite long and repetitive (some might suggest a bit like my reviews) so I'll keep this short and sweet and say that if you like big production jobs with loads of harmonies worked into the choruses and some decent riffs then you might just dig a little bit of Supagroup.

One final thing - what's going on with that cover artwork? Destined to make it into UR's Monday morning artwork at some future stage.
