adjusters_coverSo, having released the best double A-side single of the year so far Ash Corner and his crew are back with an EP containing five tracks, two of which made up the aforementioned single, but this time they are released with three other steaming hot new songs that show a whole new side of the band.

The simple fact is that The Adjusters have shown they can write quality and varied music not just straight down the line '77 punk or scuzzy rock 'n' roll, and have grown and matured their sound and really honed in on their craft and come up with five tracks that are as strong as you're likely to find anywhere by far more seasoned pros.

One thing is puzzling me and that's what the fuck are record company execs doing sitting on their back sides whilst a band this damn good is still waiting to be snapped up!? 'Dream But Don't Sleep' is the second track not previously released and has some neat xylophone chimes going on in the chorus, a lovely Thunders-esque reverb dripping lead guitar line and an infectious hook - The Adjusters have come up trumps yet again. 'Dirty Little Tricks' has one of those lead lines and throbbing bassline that made NYC a cool place to live once upon a time but this is the UK and these boys are on a mission, yet another chorus that will scratch away at the inside of your head once you hear it, great stuff!

The real ace in the pack is the final track and something of a departure but shows an ever expanding catalogue and a band not afraid to diversify the sound in pursuit of aural delights for us the listeners as the boys shake things up with a Western tinged diamond and again some very confident and neat guitar picking that just damn well smokes. 'Tell Me What You're Thinking', well seeing as you ask I'm thinking that The Adjusters are about as good as the UK music scene gets right now. When will the industry take a chance and plough some of that filthy lucre into a worthy band and give 'em a chance? Anyway, on a less serious note I'm also thinking how funny it would be watching a sepia tinged video of Mr Corner riding through town with his sheriff badge (easy at he back, not that sheriff badge) looking to clean the town up whilst theapproved_image_lrg boys in the band sit on the porch of the saloon strumming away. Superb song by a superb band. The Adjusters; respect!
