eyesofisisEyes Of Isis have a hard task ahead of them - they may only be teenagers but they are trying to rock out with the big boys and, to be honest, 'Hot As Hell' just doesn't cut the mustard. That said, it is a good starting point for them.

The biggest problem with this release is the sound quality and the general lack of ideas. Although there may be a diamond in the rough here, it will take a lot of work to find it. These guys need to hone their craft to the point of amazing which, going by this, will take some time.

Their first release was 2009's self titled demo which they recorded after only two months of writing and apparently after nine months of writing they now have over twenty songs written. This says to me that they need some quality control. Singer/rhythm guitarist Jordan Davidson is a good find but the record suffers due to the producer.

This Canadian band show just enough potential to become a work in progress kind of band. Although having a band in their teens means that there is more than enough time to work something special out of them and give them enough time to nurture and become the band that they obviously want to be. Standout song for me is 'Page Of Love.'
