batusis_coverWell well, who'd have thought it eh? Cheetah Chrome and Sylvain Sylvain joining forces with Joan Jett's rhythm section to record four feisty rock 'n' roll songs that reek of history and style and dished out with a genuine passion for their craft.

C'mon people, you didn't really think these cats could put their name to a record and it would be a turkey, did ya? Ok, so there are no lyrics to two of the four tracks so far offered but don't let that deter you folks - this is smokin' hot!

'Blues Theme' - Thwack! - and we're off and you can just see Commissioner Gordon and Bruce Wayne getting down to this baby in some Martini party right? Right! Smash! 'What You Lack In Brains' can peel paint off walls from 30 paces as Sylvain handles vocals on this bruising beast that has all the swagger and barb you'd expect with some smart Joanna-tonking and a groovy Joan Jett sounding backbeat with cool hand claps. Kapow!!! 'Bury You Alive' sees Cheetah handle vocals and with an opening salvo that reeks of Dead Boys spirit - it is unmistakable Chrome laying down the chops here and I'm loving it. To wrap up this tantalizing glimpse into the world of Batusis you get 'Big Cat Stomp' and a Pow! blink of the eye and it's over, until I press repeat of course as we all get down and Batusis the night away to this highly anticipated release.

Hopefully a long player isn't too far off and we can all hop into the Batmobile and mozie on down to our local record retailer and get funky with this shit. Now be good chaps and give the people what they need and a full length debut would just about do the job because we all need a superhero and Batusis could be it!
