Anyway, rant over, what we have here on their 10th studio album are thirteen tracks of classic Hardcore Street Punk that distils everything that Agnostic Front have become in 2011. Opener 'City Streets' has the mix of aggression and groove that has become the staple of their sound. They were once lambasted for their change of style on both their 'One Voice' and 'Another Voice' albums, but mixing the elements of those albums with the flat-out style of 'Dead Yuppies' makes for some cracking songs. 'More Than A Memory' and 'Now And Forever' have the catchy sing-along choruses and Stigma-driven riffage that make their songs so addictive. You'll never in a million years mistake Roger Miret's vocals, and his lyrics tell the tales of urban struggle that are always so much more than just the words. I mean they're not gonna sing about dragons or come out with some cryptic smart-arse shit, are they? In 'A Mi Manera' (literally translates to "My Way", but you Frank Sinatra fans knew that anyway) they have no greater proof that they still produce absolutely peerless stuff at times and is probably one of their best songs in ages.
So there you have it, it's not original and is pretty much as untrendy as you'll get, but that should not matter two shits. 'My Life, My Way' is a shit hot album regardless of genre, trend or flavour of the fucking month. www.facebook.com/agnosticfront www.nuclearblast.de/agnosticfront
