involtbigfirecoverDecent band alert! The second album from In Volt really does hit the spot and the genius of flamboyant, theatrical vocalist Enton Gautnier is the main reason it stocks in your head.

In Volt are far, far superior than just being a sum of their influences - a rock, pop and blues band. All 12 tracks on 'Big Fire' are pure out and out rockers that tap into all you could ask for and more. The powerful vocals compliment the hard rhythms and at times, raw uncompromising energy that they produce and alongside the hooks, choruses and great vocal delivery they really have delivered an album that could see them charge up the league in quick fashion.

Cool, dynamic and full of life describe this band perfectly and the French band really should see the crowds swell as this album picks up more and more press. Don't be surprised to see them elevated into a certain rock magazine due to the fact that they tick so many boxes but please don't hold that against them. '70s influences aplenty run throughout this album but check out their track '512' for exactly what In Volt can deliver.

A cracking album that will no doubt get repeated plays.

Go see the flames burn for yourself.
