Having reunited with (almost) the classic 'Right To Rock' line up at the tail end of 2008, Keel enter their 26th year with a brand new album, 'Streets Of Rock N' Roll.'
There are twelve giant rock anthems on offer here, ensuring that 'Streets Of Rock N' Roll' is very much in the tradition of vintage Keel. On the one hand 'Come Hell Or Highwater' is pure kick ass rock 'n' roll with a thundering riff, on the other 'Live' has the kind of hooks that would have earned heavy rotation on late eighties MTV.
'Hit The Ground Running' reminds a touch of the mighty Saxon and again tracks like 'Lookin' For A Good Time' and 'No More Lonely Nights' kick enough ass to stand proud in any Keel live show.
Keel have sold over two million albums in their time and while I don't imagine 'Streets Of Rock N' Roll' will result in a significant jump in that total, it stands loud and proud as the Keel legacy marches on into another decade.
'Streets Of Rock N' Roll' is available now and is well worth checking out if you're a fan of straight ahead classic rawk.
