As I sit here listening to this EP on repeat, racking my brain to think of something constructive to write, I realise that it's actually not that bad at all; seems it's a bit of a grower. This four track EP from Dublin boys StayOkay! has a rather unique sound. Truth be told, first impressions were stressful, and I still stand by my first thoughts of the opening track 'Lay Your Worries To The Grave, which is rather painful; However improvements are heard by track two, when their catchy pop rock sound becomes more confident and enjoyable. Vocalist Tim Chadwick has an unusual voice which could maybe work better in an indie band, especially the last track, which could easily pass as a 'rockier' version of current pop/folk golden boys Mumford and Sons. Overall this and isn't really my cup of tea, but then again I don't like tea.
