Death_By_Death_RayHailing from down under Death By Death Ray blast off with a metalised form of punk rock that really skips along.  The title track of this 3 tracker 'Here Is the Revolution' rumbles on in double quick time as the formidable vocals of Betty Bird let rip like a female version of Liam from Cancer Bats with a bit of Matt from The Bronx.  For me the song runs on for a tad too long and could do with being more like the short sharp shock that is the second track 'Every Man For Himself'.  In yer face and furious would be a fair description.

Final track 'Grace Jones' comes over all Maiden with the guitar styling and licks which to be honest has me turning away from my deaf deck.  On the breakdown where the guitar chugs to a neat four to the floor it has the snap of Gallows but before too long that Maiden lick is back and I've lost interest.  Death By Death Ray will have metalheads nodding in all the right places and hardcore fans will definitely dig Betty's vocal delivery.

'Here Is The Revolution' as an E.P is just too short to get the full picture regarding what the band are all about, being just three tracks in length.  Maybe further investigation will remedy this when their long player comes out?
