They don't stick to the same pattern for each song with there being a good variety of pace and crunch and this also applies to the vocals with 'Here We Stand' having some of the aforementioned All That Remains feel to it. There's also some good old-fashioned brute force to opener 'Borrowed Time', with its acoustic intro giving way to some really chunky riffing. It's not all riffs either as there's some damn fine all-round guitar work on show here, particularly on the Killswitch-esque 'Here We Stand'. This is also a great sounding disc and much kudos must go to the production job done by Neema, who really has got pretty much everything bang on.
'Strength To Strength' positively bristles with a driving riff and some top notch bass and guitar interplay before the pinch harmonics lead into an almighty breakdown. The title track ploughs a similar furrow before 'Battle Scars' rounds things off nicely, leaving you very satisfied and basically wanting more, such is the way with any EP that happens to be a bit good.
So, if you've got a penchant for metallic hardcore of the highest order then rather than reach for your US favourites look a bit closer to home and give Seethe a spin. You won't be disappointed.
